Black and grey realism and surrealism, done right. After 15 years in the trade — including a 13-year break that only sharpened the eye — Tom is back in Salt Lake City doing the work that actually gets under your skin. Pure Blood Ink isn't for everyone, and that's the point.

Here's how it works: you bring me the idea, I tell you what's going to look good on your body. Not what you think you want on paper — what's actually going to translate to skin and hold up. That's the distinction most people don't think about until it's too late. Black and grey realism demands precision. Surrealism demands instinct. Fifteen years in, I have both.

The shop runs with an exclusive crowd — artists and clients who get it. Walk in and you'll feel that immediately. It's not a production line. Every piece gets the same read: your concept, my expertise, and a straight conversation about what works. We talk through the idea, I show you how it'll land, and we move forward from there.

Aftercare matters as much as the work itself. Keep it wrapped for a day, wash it twice daily with something gentle like Ivory soap, moisturize when it looks dry — don't overdo the lotion. Two weeks to heal safely, a full month to fully heal. The better you treat it, the better it lasts. That's on you, but you'll know exactly what to do before you leave the chair.
